In the past I had only worked in chain pharmacy and last summer I
was exposed to a wealth of knowledge
in business, disease management, and counseling that I couldn't have
gotten in any other setting.

This program is wonderful for students who have an interest in
independent pharmacy.
I saw what working in a community pharmacy was like--how the
pharmacist interacts with the patients and the importance of it. In
a community pharmacy, I believe the pharmacist has a better
opportunity to get to know their patients, including disease states,
social history, family history, etc. This is important.
I really enjoyed my experience this summer. I found it to be
rewarding.
